Dr Shankaran graduated from University of Malaya (UM) in 1999 and completed his general surgery training in UM in 2007. He later proceeded with his urology subspecialty training. After completion in 2013, he continued his fellowship in The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide, SA. He is currently working a s a Urologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
